Thank heavens for the blog then - I can only imagine that otherwise you'd save years of them up for use on one day, thus precipitating the end of the world.

In relation to GM techno-nerds - were we in the US, where negative campaigning is open and common, I'd guess that many such initiatives were more planned than spontaneous. I suspect that this isn't yet the case in the UK and that this sort one-sided political piss-taking is at least initially the work of jocular members of the public - I'd be suprised, if political parties didn't perhaps contribute to this kind of thing a bit once in motion though ... and I imagine the BBC themselves put together the one above - which would literally be the funniest thing in the world since this was posted on VeryDemotivational:

What do you reckon, Taf?

They've got Susan (Suzanne?) Boyle singing at the Sanremo Festival. You should see the publicity shot in the Stampa. They've made her look like Cheryl Cole's nan with an afro.

Thanks, TM - the puns just come to me in a flash of perspiration. I'm trying to save them all up and use them in posts so as not to subject the readership to too many self-penned "jokes".

Re. the piss-taking of political ads and all that jiggery-pokery (if I can entreat everyone to stop rolling on the floor for just a minute) - do you think that these sites are organic spoofery by jocular members of the public, or do you think that both main political parties covertly spend the equivalent of the national debt of Greece on genetically engineering vast armies of tech nerds, housing them in giant silos two miles under the earth's crust, subjecting them to 24-hour-a-day political propaganda and old episodes of "Have I Got News for You", and then hooking their brain-fluids directly up to the internet in the hopes that they'll create something "viral" which will make the other side look vaguely silly?

Some of those Cameron posters a pure roflarity. There are some more good ones here as well as some Labour based ones here ... including:
